Getting in touch with Infotera means more than just being able to contact the company. This Service Level Agreement (SLA) sets out the criteria for availability of services, and promises clients service credits should this not be met. By offering an uptime guarantee of 99.9%, Infotera shows that they are committed to ensuring customers get the most out of their services. Getting in touch with this reliable provider ensures that clients are always in good hands, as they can rest easy knowing that their needs will be taken care of quickly if any problems arise.
Infotera takes system downtime and unavailability very seriously, and has a detailed calculation for determining availability that excludes any causes related to outage periods. This includes outages attributed to anything other than faults by Infotera, such as negligence or problems related to the Equipment connected on the Client’s side of delivery point. Moreover, these outages do not count against the company in their calculation of availability. In fact, if there are external factors causing an outage at any time, this is not taken into consideration in their assessment. Thus, customers are guaranteed reliable service when investing with Infotera for their technology needs.
In order to preserve the performance, quality and operation that Infotera prides itself on, any equipment connected to the Infotera Network which causes negative effects will be disconnected for the benefit of all other users. There is no penalty for this act, only a notification so that the Client can take corrective action as soon as possible. This way, Infotera is able to maintain its high standards while giving the necessary warning in case of any issues with Client equipment.
Outage periods are unfortunately an unavoidable part of the technological landscape, and this is no different for Client’s service covered under the provisions of their Agreement with Infotera. Faults outside of Infotera’s control can be a significant source of outages, and though these may not be observed or confirmed by Infotera themselves, any resulting period in which service is suspended is still treated as an outage period according to the terms outlined in the Agreement. Additionally, even if a Client requests an upgrade to their capacity that requires a suspension of service, resulting in an outage period, they are still liable to treat it as such. Thus, every effort must be taken to prevent any potential outages during upgrades or other causes to ensure minimal disruption for clients.
While providing IT Support for its clients, it is important for the Company to know what their Service Level Agreement (SLA) covers. While the Company is obligated to assume responsibility for normal operational risks, any attacks or other unlawful acts initiated from within the Client’s network, targeting the network infrastructure or its users are not to be included in SLA calculation. This means it is up to the Client to implement effective protection mechanisms and they should assume primary responsibility for any damage caused by such security issues. Thankfully, most Clients take proactive steps towards protecting their networks and limiting potential vulnerability.
In this agreement, both parties accept that if certain extenuating circumstances occur known as a “Force Majeure Event”, that there shall not be an obligation to carry out any of the clauses. Infotera also understands that no commitments apply in cases where a Force Majeure occurs, and thus if the client should not have access to the services they are promised, Infotera will give them a credit for such missed access. It is an important part of providing good customer service and ultimately useful to both parties.

Clients are entitled to receive service credits under this SLA as long as they have made any appropriate payments due according to the terms of the Agreement. These credits will be only related to the element of the service that was not available, not for the full price of all services. For example, if a dedicated server and backup service were ordered but only backup service was unavailable: credit would be calculated based on the price of backup service. However, in order for Client to qualify for these credits they must notify Infotera within seven days in writing. The service credits are the only remedy Clients have against Infotera in situations such as these.
Infotera takes its Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments seriously, and is committed to providing the best possible service it can. To demonstrate their commitment to providing a consistently high level of service, Infotera guarantees that the availability of the service will be 99.95% in any given calendar month, barring any technical or environmental issues listed in general SLA terms. Should Infotera fail to meet this guarantee, a credit shall be made available to their clients as defined by the agreement. With this level of quality assurance from Infotera, clients know that they are receiving maximum value for their subscription.

Infotera Ltd. provides hosting and related services to its customers, ensuring that user experience is seamless and satisfactory. This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the terms and conditions of using such services, while also laying out the duties both us, as well as our customers have towards each other in order to make use of those services. This Agreement has been carefully crafted to ensure that all aspects of the services we provide are used in accordance with laws, regulations, policies and guidelines of all involved parties. Every customer of Infotera is expected to understand and follow this Agreement when using our Services.
By using your Infotera account or allowing someone else to use it to acquire access to any additional services, products, or even canceling your existing service, you are automatically bound by the Terms of Service (TOS) agreement set by Infotera. This TOS agreement is incorporated as an integral part of this Accepted Use Policy and will be in effect for any services covered under this policy. As a result, it’s important that you familiarize yourself with the TOS before making any purchases or other ambitious moves concerning your Infotera account.
User obligations are incredibly important when working with Infotera. User-hosted content must adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, not include anything that infringes or misappropriates any intellectual property rights, and not be used in connection with any illegal activity. Additionally, users must own their content, or have expressed written authorization from the rightful owner to copy, use and display the content on and within their account. Meeting these obligations allows for a secure and legitimate experience for all users of Infotera.
Infotera has made a commitment to providing an uninterrupted Internet presence for all their customers. Despite this effort, it is unavoidable that there may be times of network interruption or downtime due to reasons such as utility interruption, equipment failure, natural disaster, and human error. During these moments, Infotera understands the difficult situation our customers are in and will do its best to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. However, no damages can be claimed on account of any failure or delay in providing access to the Internet under this agreement.
The rules set in this agreement are essential to maintain the trust and security of Infotera. It’s important to note that all accounts, sub-accounts, and alternative account names associated with a principal account are responsible for following these guidelines. Furthermore, an Infotera account cannot be accessed by anyone other than its owner since any transfer requires prior written authorization from Infotera itself. In conclusion, compliance is key with these rules to protect our users and give them the best experience possible on our platform.
When using Infotera’s services, you are provided with an Internet Protocol (‘IP’) address. However, this IP address does not belong to or become a part of your property, but instead remains the sole asset of Infotera. You will only be able to use the IP address if you are granted permission from Infotera, who reserves the right to allow or deny its usage at their discretion.
Securing your account with SSH access is an important precaution to take, especially if you are seeking Jail/Caged access. While it may be tempting to attempt to circumnavigate the established policy, this is not recommended as any misuse of the system or effort to circumvent the terms will result in immediate account termination. Instead, it would be wise to reach out to our Support team who can help provide you with the steps necessary to properly enable SSH access and maintain your Jail/Caged access privileges on a provisional basis.
Infotera services offer a range of promotions, discounts and trial periods for their clients or resellers. These providers should be used responsibly and not for the replacement of existing services. Instead, these benefits are made available to purchase secondary services or products, allowing limitless access to opportunities from purchasing additional goods. The agreement ensures there is no misuse of discount facilities that are made solely for promotional reasons and produce great value for its users.
By using any of the services available through Infotera, users must take responsibility for their actions.
This means adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances of federal, state, and local governments.
It also means avoiding unsolicited commercial or bulk email (spamming), or any other activity known as “mail bombing”. Additionally, all communication sent via newsgroups, mailing lists, chat facilities and other internet forums must not be illegal in nature.
Unauthorized access to Infotera’s website, servers or customers’ hosting accounts is strictly prohibited.
The same applies for any malicious code execution remotely through the hosting account provided by Infotera.
To avoid any further issues in these respects it is highly suggested that customers comply with all requirements when using the services of Infotera.
Complying with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and all relevant regulations and legislation on bulk and commercial email is important in order to remain compliant with the law. This means being responsible and taking extra care when sending out emails – specifically, ensuring that any recipient who is receiving email messages from you has done a Confirmed Opt-In or Closed-Loop Opt-In. Sending out unsolicited mass emails goes directly against these guidelines and laws, so it’s important to only send emails to those who have indicated that they are interested in receiving them.
This includes forging email headers (i.e., “spoofing”), configuring a mail server to accept and process third party emails with no user identification or authentication, hosting web pages advertised via spam emails sent from another network (“spamvertising”), hosting any services that support spamming, using an API to bulk generate or create mailboxes or email addresses, as well as other activities that use weblog posts, IRC/chat room messages, guestbook entries, HTTP referer log entries, Usenet posts, pop-ups, instant messages or text/SMS messages to send, post or transmit content.
SPAM e-mail messages are a huge inconvenience to all and can be cause for major financial losses in addition to compromising user security. For this reason, deliberate or reckless use of our hosting services for the sending of SPAM messages is not tolerated. If a user is found to be doing this, we reserve the right to assess a £1000 charge on their account in compensation for the additional costs associated with rectifying SPAM-related activity. We take this policy seriously and will continue to combat any malicious SPAM activities from our users in order to protect our customers from unlawful practices.
If you’re in the market for a reliable web hosting solution to publish your website, then Infotera Ltd offers an ideal option. Our shared hosting services allow you to upload all kinds of files and pages to our servers, so your website will be available on the internet quickly and easily. Plus, depending on your needs, we offer either ‘unlimited’ server storage space or bandwidth – perfect for mainstream websites that don’t involve mass file distribution. In cases where audio or video are made available for download from the website interface, however, we reserve the right to place a limit of 10 GB per account. With Infotera Ltd secure servers, worry-free setup process and generous terms, you can rest assured that you’ll have a vibrant site running in no time!
When you sign up to use the shared server resources offered by Infotera, it is important that you take extra care to adhere to the resource limits outlined in your hosting package. If we find that an account has overrun their limit through LVE faults, we reserve the right to suspend or remove the account with no guarantee of backup availability to ensure that other accounts on the same shared server remain stable. At Infotera, we want all our customers to benefit from a secure and reliable server environment and this may require us to take action when necessary.
At VPS Hosting, our customers will often receive a generous “burstable” allowance above their allotted resources. This extra allowance is provided only at our discretion and helps to ensure stable service and server performance. If a customer exceeds their usage to the point of causing detrimental effects, we reserve the right to suspend or remove their account permanently. Fortunately, though, we always strive to find alternative solutions should overuse become an issue. In such cases, there may be an additional cost stemming from either ourselves or a third-party recommendation; however this is merely in order to protect our customers and ensure the best possible service.
In order to maintain a smooth and effective business relationship, it is important that resellers adhere to the outlined Terms and Conditions. As part of this agreement, resellers agree not to partake in any activities which are deemed unethical or unlawful. This includes fraud misrepresentation, counterfeit merchandise, unauthorized changes to products by adding or subtracting features or components, as well as any other activity that does not meet legally-accepted standards. It is of utmost importance for businesses involved in reselling goods and services to honor these agreements so that all parties benefit from a secure and substantially reliable business transaction.
We take the security of our hosting services seriously and are careful to ensure that they are not misused. We expressly forbid customers from re-selling or offering any part of our hosting services for the use of third parties, unless a specific reseller product has been purchased from us in this case. Furthermore, we do not allow customers to unauthorizedly access, interfere with, damage or disrupting any part of the hosting service, any equipment or networks used for providing the service, or any software related to it. Finally, we reserve the right to remove suspended accounts after 7 calendar days have elapsed at our discretion.
As a reseller of quality service, you understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that all accounts and files are compliant with any and all outlined terms. This includes not only creating or uploading any content that may be against the terms of service, but also monitoring and actively deleting content or accounts which violate said terms. Being a responsible custodian of services requires diligence and attention to detail so that they remain within set parameters; this is the commitment you have agreed to in coming onboard as a reseller.
Protecting our customers and providing them with the best experience possible is always our priority at Infotera. To maintain this, there are certain terms and conditions which resellers must abide by. Should any user repeat efforts in breaching these terms and conditions without warning, then we reserve the right to remove their reseller account. Similarly, if one user is consuming more than 25% of overall server usage, then to ensure fairness for all users we may impose limits on the usage of this particular account. In such instances we will always try to work out a solution, be it in the form of additional features or an upgraded product. Ultimately, our aim is to find the most helpful solution whilst still protecting everyone’s rights and interests.
In order to maximize the amount of visitors coming to your website, content must be easily accessible and viewable by anyone who stumbles across it. This means that any webpages on your site must be coded using HTML or a similar programming language, so that visitors worldwide can easily access them. Additionally, all content must also be freely available without any benefit from a registration process. Your hosting account should primarily consist of HTML and PHP files in order for it to work effectively and reliably, which will enable viewers to smoothly navigate from page to page on the website with ease. With thoughtful attention put into your website’s design, structure and content, your website has the potential for major success!
When it comes to allocating space within a shared hosting account, it is important to adhere to the set limits. For example, multimedia files such as .aac, .avi, .mp3, .mp4 and more can only be allocated up to 5GB of space.
Similarly, archive and disk image files are also limited to 5GB while databases and database dumps including .sql files are restricted to a maximum of 1GB.
Executable files and other compiled program results can also not exceed 1GB on the shared hosting account.
Meeting these restrictions enables website owners and administrators to have smooth running experiences with their websites at all times.
In accordance with the policy of Infotera, any user whose account consistently demands more than the standard allocation of resources will be expected to upgrade their package. The responsibility for this decision rests squarely on the shoulders of Infotera. They reserve the right to determine if any given content is being abused or used in an inappropriate way and will take appropriate measures, including immediate suspension or upgrade without warning as necessary. With these precautions in place, users can be sure that their websites will remain safe and secure from malicious intent or careless behavior through the implementation of appropriate packages.
Our goal is to ensure that users have reliable backups of their shared hosting accounts. To that end, any account that utilizes more than 10GB of disk space or contains over 200,000 inodes will no longer be backed up on a weekly or daily basis. Those using such an account must take proactive steps to ensure they properly maintain their own copy. Softaculous backups will also be disabled, making it imperative that the user store their backups outside their hosting space, as attempting to do so within the account would violate our policies. By taking these steps, users can rest assured knowing their data is safe and secure.
Regular and timely backups should always be a priority for any user, especially those utilizing cloud storage. However, certain plugins may lack the capability to store a local backup within an account quota, instead necessitating an ‘offsite’ arrangement with a cloud provider such as Google Drive or S3. Unfortunately, not adhering to this requirement or retaining unnecessary backups can lead to serious repercussions including potential account suspension or removal. To avoid any such issues, users should focus on regularly pruning their backup data as well as establishing appropriate offsite arrangements to ensure no valuable data is ever lost.
To guarantee the stability and free storage capacity of any shared server or service, it’s essential that extensions sometimes be removed automatically from account storage. Automatic backups may also be enabled depending on the product you choose – they are stated in the accompanying marketing materials where applicable. Unless otherwise notified to you, we won’t store any backups for VPS servers or dedicated servers. Make sure to read our hosting terms for more details about backup policies.
7 Daily Backups
4 Weekly Backups
Infotera provides a range of services with varying backup schedules depending on the service used; all backups are securely stored off-site. We make every effort to ensure the backups are consistent and reliable, however in the event that any data is missing or corrupt, Infotera cannot accept responsibility. In addition, when an account is removed either intentionally or mistakenly by us or our reseller, we reserve the right to keep those backups for a maximum period of 48 hours before permanent deletion. Beyond that period it does not fall under the standard retention policy.
When it comes to using email and related services, compliance with the aforementioned terms should be taken seriously. Sending more than the assigned number of emails per hour per domain can bog down servers and lead to outages that interfere with everyday work. To make sure all users are able to enjoy a consistent experience when using email and related services, be sure to stick strictly to the outlined limits on sending emails. By adhering to these rules, everyone can stay connected without fear of disruptions or outages.
Our Premium products offer an array of different sending limits compared to other hosting accounts. Not only are they capable of extending the number of email addresses out to 30 for a single user, but also increase storage capabilities per mailbox to 10GB, or even 30GB as a total allowance for an individual account– offering more than enough space for both incoming emails and large attachments without overcrowding. This ensures maximum flexibility, security and scalability in hosting all your emails in one place.
Upgrading from a shared hosting account to a powerful and secure VPS (Virtual Private Server) or Elastic Cloud is extremely simple with Infotera. After you have paid the first month fee – which depends on the VPS type you choose – the upgrade is immediately facilitated, giving you access to upgraded features right away. It’s important to note that when upgrading, the prorated amount for unused time of shared hosting accounts won’t be refunded but will instead be added to your account balance. Today, with Infotera, it’s easier than ever to ensure your virtual resources get the upgrade they deserve.
A Virtual Private Server (VPS) provides numerous benefits, such as greater server control, improved security and performance, as well as ultimately ensuring your website continues running without disruption. When a user upgrades to a VPS account, their existing shared hosting environment is terminated and they are bound by the governing terms of their new VPS account. This transition can be necessary if there is excessive resource usage on the shared hosting system, which could affect the functionality of other services on the same server. Regardless of the reason, upgrading to a VPS allows users to gain additional advantages without sacrificing quality or performance.
Strict IP address conservation measures are critical to maintaining a healthy online ecosystem. To do this, web hosting account owners take proactive steps such as limiting the number of IP addresses each account can use. Shared hosting accounts are only allowed one, while reseller hosting plans come with up to 10. The specifics of what is included in each plan description indicate exactly how many IPs you have access to as a customer. It’s important to remember that the limit applies to each individual account and that it’s not based on customers – giving everyone the opportunity to make the most of their resources without any negative impact.
With the incredible demand for access to the internet across multiple devices, it’s not uncommon for customers to find themselves needing more than one IP address. To ensure our services are used responsibly, we strongly encourage customers to exercise restraint when requesting additional IP addresses and can require justification for usage before granting it. In order to meet customer needs, an extra fee may be applicable if we do provide a customer with an additional IP address. We hope customers will understand their utilization of IP addresses is essential in guaranteeing everyone experiences the same level of quality service.
Use of Traffic (Bandwidth):
It’s always important to keep track of your traffic when utilizing a VPS. To ensure that you do not reach your monthly limit, check the type of plan you’re subscribed to – as this will determine how much data and bandwidth allowance you have. If your account exceeds this allowance before the end of the month, understand that it will be suspended until the beginning of the next month. Moreover, if you need more data or bandwidth than what is offered in your subscription plan, additional allowance may be purchased on a monthly basis. Bear in mind, however, that these fees are non-refundable so make sure to monitor your usage carefully!
Having no space to store your data can be a real drag. If you’ve found that you’re running out of space on your VPS, it might not be because you don’t have enough storage – sometimes the issue lies in something called “system files”. These are used by the VPS to store and manage specific types of information, but they also take up disk space. Unfortunately, this disk space isn’t available for storing your content which can cause some complications. The good news is that there are still ways to increase disc space even if up to 4GB has been taken up by system files! By tweaking settings in the Control Panel or perhaps resizing your VPS Type, it’s still possible to free up more disc space for whatever you do with your VPS.
At Infotera, we make it easy to customize your VPS to fit your exact needs. The initial and renewal fees for each VPS include a certain number of IPs, but if you want more you can add them on for a fee. We charge for the dedicated IP on a per month basis and the fee is non-refundable, so you can rest assured that your system will have the additional security provided by an extra IP. If you need more than just an extra IP, we also offer additional RAM as an extra feature to any VPS account. The cost varies depending on how much RAM is ordered and like all of our other services must be paid for each month.
When ordering additional RAM for your VPS account, you will be charged a non-refundable fee and must make sure to make all subsequent monthly renewal payments until the upgrade or VPS account is canceled. Failure to do so will result in the removal of the additional RAM or suspension of the whole VPS account. Infotera provides an excellent service with excellent customer support, however we are not able to provide backups beyond the initial RAM order and strongly recommend you utilize a remote backup facility should data-loss occur as this may cause irreparable damage.
At [Infotera], we understand that our VPS products can easily become complex and confusing. That’s why we offer tiers of ‘management,’ which provide users with all the help they need to make their virtual private server run as smoothly as possible. As part of our management services, users have access to a variety of options – from basic monitoring to ensuring servers quickly-respond to any problems that arise. This way customers know their systems are properly looked after without having to take time out of their busy day to do it all themselves. With the various tier-options available on our website, we make sure your VPS product is always up, running and secure.
Unmanaged
System or network management is a challenging yet integral task for many businesses, especially those with limited technical staff. Unfortunately, not all software packages offer the assistance required to successfully maintain their systems at optimal health. Without this essential help it can be difficult for these companies to keep their networks secure and running efficiently, resulting in slower performance and increased risk of cyberattacks. In such a case, adding an additional layer of technical support becomes crucial in order to keep operations running smoothly and securely.
Managing a server is incredibly complex and often requires a fair amount of technical knowledge. That’s why many of our customers opt for our managed VPS options as they come with extended support. Our basic management plan includes one hour of assistance each month and additional hours can be purchased with the standard rate at just £60+VAT per hour. While this won’t provide access to the server, it will provide helpful documentation or references to assist in diagnosing any potential issues that may arise – making running and maintaining a successful VPS easier than ever before.
Our highest level of management gives you access to stellar server administration, with up to 3 hours of Consultancy services
